Rhône Masterclass

March 7 | 12:00 PM | Scout Wine Merchants | $55
Taught by Toni Johnson, FWS

Journey to the heart of one of France’s most evocative wine regions—Rhône – at this exclusive Wine Scholar Guild curriculum masterclass

Guided by the Wine Scholar Guild’s curriculum, this masterclass represents one afternoon of the French Wine Scholar course and introduces the Rhône’s distinctive north–south divide, grape varieties, and winemaking philosophies. This session is not suitable for current FWS students; former students are encouraged to attend for a refreshed tasting perspective.

This masterclass is ideal for those drawn to expressive reds, aromatic whites, and regional storytelling—and for anyone exploring the possibility of Wine Scholar Guild certification.

Expect a curated tasting of wines, featuring classic reds from the Northern Rhône’s top appellations and the aromatic blends from the Southern Rhône’s most famous villages, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas.
